	Assignment Question: Discuss and critique two different methodologies that can be used in developing a health services plan. You can choose any two methodologies e.g. population and institution. You could discuss these methodologies or you can choose a particular service planning method within these methodologies. It is up to you what you choose; there is no “correct methodology” to discuss but it has to be a service planning methodology. I have received a couple of e-mails asking if you can actually provide a real example of each methodology to enable a better critique. This is not expected and would probably be more challenging but you are likely to learn more from the process. If a higher level of understanding is demonstrated in your assignment you are likely to receive higher marks. I do not mind what format you write the assignment in. However, you may find report format an easy style to write in as you have to write the assignment using headings for each section or topic you write I do not mind which type of referencing method you use. However, you do need to be consistent and provide a reference list at the end of the assignment Given that this is a 2,500 word assignment I would expect about 20 to 25 references to be sited in your paper. A clear introduction introducing what you are going to discuss in the body of your paper is very important. It sets the “scene” and may also say what you are not going to discuss within the paper. A good conclusion to the paper it also very important. It needs to summarise all of the discussion in the body of the paper. When you start to write the conclusion read the body of your paper and say to yourself “so what?” The answer to the “so what” question should be the conclusion that you write for the paper.
