Group Project Description You are required to do one of the following options to complete this group assignment: 1. Choose an advanced database topic to be written as an extended survey and write a report. 2. Install and compare two free database-related products and write a report on the system features and usage. 3. Implement various database-related algorithms and do experiments on efficiency/effectiveness. Write a report on your implementation and comparison. You should clearly indicate which option you will undertake in the assignment submission. Deliverables Your report should have the following aspects: • It should be in the form of a report (see the Report Structure below) • Word limits include 5,000 for Option 1 and 3,000 for Options 2 or 3 (10% under or over). • A softcopy will need to be submitted via Learning@Griffith. • It should be possible to be presented in front of the class for the “Presentation” assessment item. • A link to a report template for both Microsoft Word and Latex will be provided to use. Either Word or PDF formats are acceptable for this assignment. Report Structure The report should be structured in the following manner: • Abstract: A paragraph highlighting the main points of the report. • Introduction: A few paragraphs longer than the Abstract that outline the purpose of the paper and its contents focusing on the Background, Related Work and Methodology. • Background: Any assumed knowledge required for your chosen topic/product/algorithms should be discussed here. • Related Work: Any concepts comparable to your chosen topic/product/algorithms should be discussed here. • Methodology: The topic/product/algorithms you have chosen should be discussed here. • Analysis: If any experimentation was conducted (i.e. Option 2 or 3), it would be...
